Courtland Sandover-Sly

Courtland Sandover-Sly

Partner Groundwork Consulting, President of the BCICA

A former stagehand and film industry grip, Courtland obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from Royal Roads University in 2014 and was trained as a financial security advisor with Freedom 55 Financial. He then branched out on his own, creating Sandover-Sly Financial. As the first financial advisor to establish health and dental coverage for dispensaries in North America, Courtland has spent the past four years working closely with a variety of businesses in the cannabis space. After becoming the president of the B.C. Independent Cannabis Association in late 2016, he began to feel inexorably pulled towards helping his small-business clients and friends navigate the murky waters of legalization. Alongside industry experts Travis Lane and Jamie Shaw, Courtland launched Groundwork Consulting in the spring of 2018.
